Sony K530 3G phone

This is not a true converged device, but it's close. The new Sony Ericsson K530 cell phone and its companion the HGE-100 GPS Enabler combine to form a useful navigation system.
The idea behind the separate phone attachment seems to do more with battery life than anything else: just plug in the HGE-100 when you need, and your battery lasts a bit longer. But the HGE-100 goes beyond that: it also acts as the phone's stereo headset.
The K530 phone itself is available in a slim 14mm package. A 3G phone, you can conveniently browse the web on it. The 2" screen leaves a little to be desired, as does the 2 megapixel camera with 2.5x digital zoom.
The phone supports Java games. You can also buy music with the PlayNow service. For additional entertainment, there's an FM radio on-board. Both the K530 and HGE-100 are expected in Q3 2007.
