Sony GV-HD700E HD Video WALKMAN
Sony has just announced its latest innovation on portable audio players. Labeled as the first HD Video Walkman, the GV-HD700E plays back HDV as well as miniDV tapes (SP and LP). With this latest portable solution, viewing your favorite HDV and DV tapes while you are on the go, becomes much easier.
The Sony GV-HD700E offers a 1,152K (800x480x3[RGB]) dots resolution for maximum quality on displaying videos and images. It has a 7-inch widescreen LCD that brings out bright and crisp images that boasts of optimum detail and quality. The unit supports a lot of features making it one of the best product in the market today. This includes an all-scan function that lets 100% of the recorded frame fit on the LCD monitor for accurate reviewing of shots. It has six LCD panel setups that can be stored and loaded at any time. It also allows movement of the on-screen time code to any of the six positions according to user preference.
Of course, any devices developed today supports some kind of connectivity option. The developers of the new HD Video Walkman knows this, so they equipped the unit with a wide array of interfaces for recording and playing HDV1080i and Standard Definition DV video from a range of sources. It even has an HDMI output to allow HD viewing on any HD-ready TV or monitor. The GV-HD700E sports a separate HD/SD component output, an i.Link port, and an S Video and RCA input that lets you record analog videos and audios.
Furthermore, the HD Video Walkman is easy to manipulate as it boasts of the fourteen commonly used controls such as search, index mark and playback zoom. These can be assigned conveniently to three function buttons. Of course, as it is a portable device, extra care was needed to ensure that it remains just so. So to make it a bit more versatile, an InfoLITHIUM L and M Series battery is used combined with a feature that folds down the LCD screen for maximum portability.
