Looks like Sony Ericsson’s upcoming flagship model, the Xperia X1, may not be able to evade us anymore. According to an email that Register Hardware received recently from the retailer, Expansys, the release date is “set for week 41 (Oct 6 to 12)” and what’s more, going by the their word, the arc slider will be priced at a whopping $1100 when it is released. Well, after the number of times we heard a release date being moved back and forth, we’ll take this news with the same amount of skepticism that we would reserve for the existence of a PSP phone. The $1100 tag might be a tad too much, but it’s magnificient 3-inch VGA display, the arced QWERTY keypad, aGPS, HSDPA support, and other equally drool-worthy specs should see some of us put down a bundle nevertheless.
