It’s still early to tell if Motorola is going to be successful in its Android venture but considering the popularity of Android and considering that new MOTOBLUR interface, we should assume that Motorola will have no problem selling lots of Android devices. Is this the way to go if you happen to be a manufacturer dying each day little by little?
Sony Ericsson is certainly not doing so well. In fact we’ve seen report after report showing financial loss after financial loss. So should we believe the rumors suggesting that Sony Ericsson will drop Windows Mobile next year in favor of Android and Symbian devices? According to those rumors, Sony Ericsson doesn’t believe in the power of Windows Mobile anymore. We’ll be waiting to see how Sony Ericsson plans to get reborn out of its own ashes. How does Sony Ericsson Android sound to you?

All this talk about Sony Ericsson dropping Windows Mobile in favour of Android or Symbian Operating systems seems to be precarious. I mean if I look at the original Twitter message (where Eldar Murtazin expressed his vieuws) it seems to be a strange way to tell about such changes. Especially if you take into account that LG will launch an whopping 13 Windows Mobile Smart phones in the coming year. I mean would they have completely missed the boat (LG)?
Maybe they could try selling phones that people can afford? I have seen a lot of data that suggest that when the average consumer can afford a product it tends to get purchased more often.
