Here’s some good news from Sony Ericsson for people living in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden. Starting today, these four Nordic countries are the first in line to get Sony Ericsson media delivery service, PlayNow Arena, which has been on the books for a launch since late 2007. Users can now get access to 1 million DRM-free songs along with other mobile-oriented media like games, ringtones, wallpapers, and themes directly from their supported Sony Ericsson cell phones. Other European countries are expected to get the service later this year with the rollout to be completed globally by 2009. The tracks are expected to cost as much as one purchased from iTunes and will cost SEK 9 per song in Sweden.
