Sonim XP3 Rugged Cellphone

Sonim XP3 is the latest cellphone on the rugged category to be announced on the US. By rugged phone I mean one that is waterproof, can work in very cold (or hot) temperatures, and can resist hard impacts.

With an expected release date set for March 2009, the XP3 is a GSM device with quad-band EDGE support, and a screen display that is resistant to glare and provides a resolution of 160×128 pixels. Other goodies on the Sonim cellphone include GPS, bluetooth, 3-megapixel camera, and bluetooth.

So far there is no information about the price, but you still get a 3-year warranty and a flashlight mode when buying the Sonim XP3.

Sooooo tight! Gotta have one of these babies. I heard the price is expensive but everyone I know that has the XP1 is super happy with it and I think it’ll be worth it.

I just took delevery of the xp3 and loving it so far. Working on trying to get the GPS tracking up and going. Love the look and durability as well

are they really big? i saw the dimensions on a website and it seemed to be large. is it?
