It would appear that hundreds of Dell users of the E6400 and E6500 are “complaining of massive performance issues”. Apparently, if these laptops get warm, then the BIOS starts slowing the performance until it stops.
So maybe you might want to hold off on buying these models as gifts for the holiday. In fact, we’ve just learned that the Studio XPS 1645 is also having similar problems.
