Sleek new Area-51 m15x from Alienware

Alienware has been known to put out some wonderfully crafted notebooks combined with ultra-high performance in the past. The latest to live up to this tradition is the Area-51 m15x, providing a great solution for professionals and gamers alike.

Touted as the first 15-inch notebook with the Core 2 Extreme processor and NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTX graphics, the Area-51 m15x laptop features dual hard drives and Smart Bay technology giving user the capability of hot-swapping an optical drive or a second hard drive. It strives to deliver ultra-high-definition video at 1200p and combines high-definition audio to give user the ultimate HD experience. User will have complete control over lighting and power management thanks to Alienware's Command Center, and the BinaryGFX Technology provides easy switching between integrated and high-performance graphics cards.

As always, the m15x starts at a base model, which can be customized according to the user's desires. The base model features Core2Duo 1.8GHz processor, GeForce 8600M GS graphics, and is priced at $1,499.
