I always liked portable speakers that are designed to magnetically lock together like this, because speakers, even though they come in twos, should easily be transported as one unit.

So why not create speakers that look like eggs that can split in two and become like yolks? They connect to the PC via USB, but there doesn’t seem to be a price point or availability date as yet.
