The Sixth European Satellite Competition is a yearly hunt for the best application ideas for satellite navigation. In past years, the winning innovations have included a mobile GPS-supported social network; a mobile phone-based guidance system that assists with more economical driving; a remote monitoring system for heart patients in recovery; a Web 2.0 platform that delivers location-based videos in real time and a flood prediction system.
As you can see there are some interesting variations from years past. There is a monetary prize however, success in the competition opens doors to market for your talents, with important partners. Entries open May 1.
