While we’re anxiously waiting for Apple to unveil their new generation of laptops and iPods later in September, Apple has launched some of those patents for new products. And there are six Apple patents revealed today. They show an iPod/iPhone stand, an amplification system, a form of speech synthesis and a computing device which I’ll refer to as a MacBook tablet for now.

Besides that there’s a new earbud/lanyard design and a new backlighting scheme mentioned. Some of those patents apply to already existing products while others offer a preview to what’s coming.

Personally I am interested in the computing device for now, as it might just be the hottest thing the year brings.
