Sharp shows off its new chip, the LR388G9By Mark Rollins - 07/29/2010 1:33:26 AM |
This is a demonstration of a new microchip from Sharp known as the LR388G9.
The chip has the ability to control two mobile LCDs and can simultaneously display two different 1024 x 480 pixel clips on a pair of screens, and it can output full 1080p to any source connected via HDMI.
I suppose we will see this new chip on all sorts of new portable devices like e-readers, smartphones, digital photo frames, and netbooks. Perhaps they will put it in their new e-book reader.
