Sharp develops world's thinnest mobile LCD screen
Sharp is pretty known for its developments on the tech world, so it isn't surprising to see that they've created the world's thinnest mobile LCD screen that only measures 0.68mm of “thickness”, while the screen itself measures 2.2-inches. Obviously, this are good news for cellphones, PDAs, and other mobile gadgets that use small LCD screens.
The new screen is called Mobile Advanced Super View LCD and is suppose to deliver a high-quality image. The contrast ratio is 2000:1 and the viewing angle is 167 degrees, while the response speed is only 8 milliseconds. When comparing to the quality of other screens on the market, it can be considered above the average.
As the leading manufacturer of LCDs, Sharp will continue to develop new proprietary technologies for LCDs, ranging from large-size LCDs for TVs to small and medium-size displays, and will contribute to the further evolution of mobile devices in the future.
