Shake Your City marketing campaign by Sony Ericsson
In the marketing world one of the most important aspects it the word-of-mouth, also known as viral marketing or buzz marketing, which is a simple but useful way to promote a certain product/service.
With that being said, Sony has tried to accomplish the word-of-mouth promotion by launching a website – Shake Your City – that basically contains a fun video and its story.
The product being promoted is the Sony Ericsson Walkman W580i, which has a cool feature related to shaking the device to pick a random song. Based on that idea, the video contains 2 guys shaking everything they come across while taking a walk in the city, they shake people, public bathrooms, trees, etc. You need to see the video in order to understand it better.
