Most of the personal land lines in the United States are in the homes of senior citizens. It’s no secret that senior citizens are often cell phone phobic, but there are times when you really want an elderly person you love to have a cell phone and be able to use it comfortably, even if it’s only to call 911 or a tow truck. The Jitterbug cell phone is designed to address the special needs of seniors. The buttons are large, lighted, and easy to read and push. The command system is a simple yes or no system with no confusing icons. The volume controls go much higher and louder than conventional cell phones, and the batteries are a bit more heavy-duty too. An unplugged phone will keep a charge for five to ten days, which means in you check on your elderly relative every week or so, you can rest assured that even if that person has forgotten to charge the phone it will still be functional. Jitterbug even makes a model with only limited buttons on it: one for the operator, one for 911, and for a tow truck. For more information or to order a phone, visit www.jitterbug.com.

Well, having the latest technology for oldies is quite good idea, considering the complexity of a normal cellphone for old grandma. Their mini buttons and small fonts, really hassle their ailing eyes. Plus considering the volume.
Everyone should enjoy the benefits of technology. Especially for emergencies.

Everytime my father press wrong number due to very small buttons on mobile but when i read this blog i come to know that now for old person’s there a special mobile with large button definately i would like to have it for my father.
I cannot recommend Jitterbug. The coverage was poor and the customer service was the worst I have ever experienced. You should google “Jitterbug complaints” to read about many, many people who have been very dissatisfied with this company.
