Bush on Cuba
A little over three weeks ago the world was amazed when Cubans were finally allowed to buy computers. For seven and something hundred dollars they were allowed to buy a bellow average system. That was great news.

And now we find out that President Bush has declared that American citizens will now be able to send mobile phones to their relatives in Cuba as a response to the Cuban government’s change of mind towards cell phones last month. Before that only officials and people working for foreign companies were the only ones allowed to have a phone. Good job Cuba! You are working your way out of that limited and heavily controlled environment into the consumer’s world.

According to Bush and his on Cuba Solidarity Day speech:

Cubans are now allowed to purchase mobile phones, DVD players and computers, and they have been told that they will be able to purchase toasters and other basic appliances in 2010.

Phones before toasters.. I wonder what they have next!
