I was actually kind of waiting for the third clip starring Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Gates. I didn’t like the previous two but I was still wondering how far Microsoft will go. But it looks like they are now awake more than ever and they must be listening to what people have to say. And people didn’t understand Microsoft’s message so far.

Rumors say Seinfeld and Gates got fired and replaced. A new concept will be used for the following period. Microsoft says there will be a third commercial with the two celebrities while a Vista director-level executive said on his blog:

So there seems to be the rumor running around that we’re supposedly canceling our Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld ads tomorrow … our Windows Consumer Campaign is moving into the next phase and we did mention previously that you should expect the campaign to evolve.

Microsoft wants to fight Apple’s PC/Mac commercials now. The company has already a guy looking like the PC actor who appeared on TV saying: “Hello, I’m a PC and I’ve been made into a stereotype”.

So will we see Seinfeld and Gates in the near future talking nonsense on the screen? Or will PC guy replace them for good in new commercials?
