Sanyo Chideji Gorilla NH-HD880 GPS system

|

Sanyo%20Chideji%20Gorilla%20NV-HD880FT-gps.jpgSanyo has presented their latest HDD car navigation system called Chideji Gorilla NH-HD880 FT, with a big claim which is being the world's first portable GPS system with a built-in T-DMB - Terrestrial Digital Media Broadcasting - so you can watch TV. Maybe the word “portable” is the most important detail.

Anyhow, the Gorilla comes with a 8-inch screen that provides a QVGA 480x234 resolution and a hard-disk with 30GB of capacity. Other features include a USB port and a built-in FM multiplex VICS, which is very useful to check the traffic jam information.

In case you want to use the GPS system outside of your car, a Li-ion battery pack must be bought separately. In terms of dimensions, the Gorilla NH-HD880 FT measures 206.8 × 38 × 121mm and is very light - 950 grams.

It has a price tag close to $2,000 and will become available in Japan on late November.
