SanDisk's iNAND Flash Memory

Receiving the EE Times ACE (Annual Creativity in Electronics) Award or the Ultimate Product of the Year in the Processor/Memory category is SanDisk’s iNAND™ flash memory module. The module is a high-capacity, high-performance flash memory with it's own built in controller all in one package. Furthermore, the iNAND features Sandisk's MLC (Multi-Level Cell) technology.The iNAND memory module is positioned as a a substitute for hard drives and other types of embedded memory. Aimed for storage of music, video, images, and other types of data, the flash memory is designed mostly for small portable devices including mobile phones, games, and audio/media players. Currently available memory capacities range from 256MB to 8GB.
