Instead of the traditional mechanical keypad, the Samsung SCH-W559 features a large 260,000-color QVGA LCD touchscreen display as the phone’s primary input method. Immersion? VibeTonz System allows the touchscreen-displayed buttons to feel more like mechanical keys, and the tactile feedback can help to improve usability when consumers are faced with situations in which controls are obscured by fingers or washed out by glare.

Other features of the phone include handwriting recognition, a 1.3 megapixel camera, audio and video playback functions, and Bluetooth technology. The Samsung SCH-W559 is designed for global roaming, and works on both GSM and CDMA networks. With the integrated VibeTonz system, the phone also has full-fidelity vibration tracks synchronized with eight preloaded ringtones, that also enable personalization and an element of fun to the phone.

The Samsung SCH-W559 is available through China Unicon, the world’s third largest mobile operator in the world.
