Samsung U708 Phone

Samsung released this summer, their much anticipated U708 mobile phone. The phone is about 12.1 mm and contains a generous number of features and functionalities. The U708 attracted much attention when being exhibited because it not only features super slim size but also supports HSDPA and B&O ICEpower.

Samsung is definitely capable to develop such an exquisite and powerful handset.

The complicate sliding design does not increase the thickness of U708. On the contrary, its thickness is controlled within 12.1mm which allows the user to slip it into the side pocket of jean or bag easily. Though U708’s display is not proportional to the keypad, it won’t look inharmonious. The glossy display can be used as a mirror when the back light is off. Besides, U708 adopts heat sensitive keys including Call, End, soft keys, Video Call and etc.

The advantage of adopting slider or flipper design is that the size of the keypad won’t be sacrificed to cater to the compact size of the mobile. The size of U708’s keys is appropriate and the feedback force is satisfactory as well. It’s very convenient for those who are used to create messages and make phone calls through the keypad.

Though U708’s 3.2MP camera supports Auto Focus(AF) function, the function only works when photos are taken via the shutter. If you take shots via the 5-way navigation key, the AF function won’t work. Keys on both sides of the mobile are mounted on the lower end rather than being arranged from top to bottom like general mobiles.
