Samsung announced the new U700 Ultra Edition II cell phone targeted at the Southeast Asian market. Available in a slider design, this is one of the slimmest HSDPA phones out in the market. This is the second edition of the 2006 model.

Available across four models, the Ultra Edition comes as the Ultra Edition 10.9 U600, Ultra Edition 12.7 U700, Ultra Edition 9.6 U300 and Ultra Edition 5.9 U100. Equipped with a 3-megapixel camera with video capabilities, the phone also boats extensive multimedia features.

With Samsung's Optimum Power Usage Solution, these phones offer up to 10% extra talk-time. Thanks to ICEpower amplifier from Bang & Olufsen, the sound quality on the Ultra Edition II is enhanced. Available in sapphire blue, garnet red, platinum metal and copper gold casing, the phone features a 2.22" wide LCD.

The phone was unveiled at CommunicAsia 2007 in Singapore. Expect it to be available starting July 2007.
