Many different hardware manufacturers are getting down on the tablet game. Already we’ve seen high powered tablets like the iPad 2 and Motorola XOOM hit the market powered by iOS and Android Honeycomb, respectively. However, while many tablets getting buzz are running these platforms there are other platforms out there for consumers to consider – one being Microsoft’s own Windows 7.
Samsung is one manufacturer looking to support Windows 7 on a tablet level as they have just put the Sliding PC 7 TX100 up for pre-order today. This tablet features a 10.1-inch display with 1366 x 768 resolution, Intel Atom Z670 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, 32GB of SSD storage, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, 3 megapixel rear facing camera, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, HDMI-out, USB 2.0 and a SD slot. Seeing how it’s dubbed the Sliding PC 7 it’s no surprise that this tablet also features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard which will come in handy when utilizing Windows 7.
As I mentioned above the Sliding PC 7 TX100 is available for pre-order now with a price tag of $649. Check out the Amazon listing.
