T-Mobile is getting ready to launch the Samsung F480 Tocco in the near future. While there’s no info on pricing and availability yet we know it’s going to be quite a phone. And it’s a 3G handset which will definitely come in handy if you’re under T-Mobile 3G coverage. There’s GPS, a 5 megapixel camera, but no front camera for video calls.
So if you don’t want to get involved with Sprint for an Instinct or you’re tired of waiting for the Omnia to arrive on US soil, then check with your T-Mobile representative for more info about the Tocco or the T919, whatever they’re going to call it!

[...] Samsung has a new camera for intermediate users. The L310W was announced at the IFA and it’s a point and shoot camera. It’s a 13.6 megapixels camera with dual image stabilization. It has a 2.7 inch LCD and a 3.6x optical zoom lens. Auto red eye fix, face detection, blink detection, smile shot, beauty shot, MPEG-4 video recording and more features are also available. There are two very useful features for the L310W. One is the 28mm wide angle unit which lets you include more scenery in all your photos. The second one is the built-in function description and photo help guide which describe all features to help users understand how various settings work right then when they’re taking certain pictures. A fun but under developed feature of the Tocco is the standby screen’s use of widgets, similar to those found in Vista (gadgets) or the Mac’s dashboard. Users can customize which of the seven widgets to have on display by dragging them from the widget sidebar. Choices include a clock, calendar, birthday reminder, photo browser and music player. It’s just a pity that Samsung doesn’t provide a way for third-party developers to write their own widgets, so you’re limited, at least for now, to those that come pre-installed.
