Samsung to Launch 32GB DDR3 RAM Sticks?By Chris - 01/30/2009 7:55:10 AM |
Sure I’d like one of those 32GB DDR3 RAM sticks installed in my PC. Maybe then Vista won’t be a bitch hassle anymore. It looks like Samsung has the technology to make them, but do we have the computers to install the sticks in?
Samsung developed 50-nanometer, 4GB 512MB chips which make it all possible. Complexity and power consumption levels will be down so a 32GB DDR3 RAM stick is possible. How much will they cost and when will they be available to order? That’s a good question. Probably Samsung will also manufacture 16GB sticks which should be less expensive and equally good for us. I mean the average consumer might never realize the difference between 16GB or 32GB RAM.
