Samsung SGH-800 Announced in Korea

At first glance, the Samsung SGH-800 reminds one of the Motorola StarTac 70/80/90/X/v3688 series with its flip design. The SGH 800 is, however, better built the phone’s robustness shows when one picks it up. It is no featherweight, yet is definitely made to withstand the rigors of the traveling executive.

Samsung‘s menu system allows the use of shortcut keys to quickly and easily access frequently used features. Also, the screen offers excellent display resolution, visible in the Organizer’s month view. Backlight is generously applied and the screen is crisp and clear in low light to dark environments.

The phone though, is grossly overpriced at S$598. At this price, one can just as easily get a Nokia 7110, an Ericsson R320, or the latest Siemens S35i, all with similar or better features.
