Samsung S5230 and S5600 touch phones now availableBy Dax - 05/06/2009 10:22:46 AM |
Rechristened the Star (S5230) and Preston (S5600), Samsung has now announced that the duo will be available in Europe and Asia starting immediately. The Samsung Star has already crossed the 2-million mark in preorders and it only remains to be seen how hot both the handsets will sell now that they are available. Mr. JK Shin, EVP and Head of Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics, had this to say on the occasion:
Samsung Star and Samsung Preston are significant additions to our full-touch screen mobile portfolio, featuring all the essential functions in one single device. I am pretty confident that the products will be one of our historical best-selling mobiles. Focusing on our consumer-oriented strategy, Samsung will deliver various full touch products for every lifestyle.
There is still no word on pricing for both the devices, but we are guessing if you liked one of them and live in Europe/Asia, you would be heading out right now to a store near you to find out, right?
