With all the news about the iPhone 4 and its new “Retina Display”, it is easy to forget the Samsung Galaxy S and its shockingly clear AMOLED display that I saw at CTIA last March.

As you can see from this ad here, Samsung is promising some “next generation in Android smart phones”. I’m going to guess that the release date for the Galaxy S will be announced here, which is rumored to be July 21 from T-Mobile.

Of course, there is always room for surprises. Let’s see what happens on June 29, shall we?
