After Apple ‘invented’ the accelerometer in the first iPhone, everyone wanted it and started to develop such technology for their mobile phone. We’ve seen it in various handsets so far, and the Samsung M3510 appears to be one of them. Besides the accelerometer, this Samsung handset will have a shake and twist function available too.

Here’s the M3510 and what it has to offer:

  • 2.5G GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity
  • 2 inch QVGA 262K color display
  • 2 megapixel camera
  • FM Radio with RDS
  • microSD memory card slot
  • USB 2.0, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm headphone jack
  • dimensions: 109×46×9.9 mm

Well Samsung, you lost me at 2.5G. I mean why would I need the shake and twist thing in the first place? I’d much rather use some 3G when available. EDGE is like so 2007. Bring on the fun, leave the shaking and twisting to professional dancers. I mean really, Samsung, I was expecting better from you. The price is rumored to going from $300 and up. Hopefully the subsidized M3510 will be really cheap for those interested!
