Samsung launches Soul Olympic Special Edition

Samsung really seems to be getting into the sportive spirit this Olympics. First it was the gold-plated D780, which became the official cell phone for the Russian Olympics team, then the m530 for Canada, and now a Special Edition of its new SPH-W5950IL in its Soul line to commemorate the 2008 Beijing Olympics. What else would you expect from the official telecom partner for the event, huh? Samsung has limited itself to 20080 handsets with the Olympics logo emblazoned on its backside and Koreans (as always!) will get a shot at it with no information on its availability elsewhere. The slider boasts of a 5-megapixel camera, 7.2Mbps HSDPA support, Bluetooth 2.0, and a keypad with navigation indicators. Going now for 699,600 KRW (about $688).
