Samsung Knack Cell Phone Review–Stone Axe PrimitiveBy Steve Anderson - 02/09/2010 12:01:55 AM |
Have you ever hear somebody, say “I wish I could get a cell phone that just makes and receives phone calls!” I believe I have, the cell phone for them, right here–the Samsung Knack.
The Samsung Knack, is somewhat rare in that it doesn’t offer much in the way of bells and whistles. In fact, it doesn’t offer much in the way of ANYTHING. Here’s what it does offer, though–it offers a speakerphone, caller ID, call timer, world clock, e911 compatibility, a phone book with capacity for five hundred names and numbers, alarm clock, calendar, basic calculator and a battery capable of generating four and a half hours of talk time.
Notice anything missing on that list? The BIGGEST thing gone from this particular list is a digital camera. There’s no web browser, either. No FM radio, that I can tell. In fact, there’s not much of anything in here that isn’t “make or receive phone calls”.
So if you’re looking for the absolute throwback in cell phone technology, yet you don’t want one that looks like those old boxy ones from the eighties, the Samsung Knack may be just the one you want.
The Good
Incredibly simple to use, quite possibly the simplest on the market
The Bad
Virtually no features of any sort
Score 6 / 10
