You can see that, this week, I’ve made a very unusual distinction.  I’ve never actually referred to a cell phone as “the fun phone” before, so undoubtedly, you’re wondering what phone it is, and why I call it that.  Today we’re talking about the Samsung Instinct S30, a phone made for fun.

The Samsung Instinct S30 is a candy bar style cell phone with three way conference call capability, voice recorder, speakerphone, Bluetooth connectivity, mobile email, mobile web, PCS Vision capability, text and instant messages, a two megapixel cell phone with self-portrait mirror, alarm clock, calendar, calculator, stopwatch, USB port and a battery capable of yielding four hours and thirty-six minutes of talk time on a single charge.

Why do I call it the fun phone?  Simple–there’s a whole menu devoted to it.  It’s labeled “fun” (you might be able to see it, second on the right, on the pictured phone) and that’s where all the game demos and such are located.  There are a LOT of game demos on this phone, and that’s a terrific concept.  The rest of the phone is a bit more straightforward, but pretty easy to get behind.

The Samsung Instinct S30 may be a lot like the earlier Samsung Instincts, but there’s still plenty to like about this one.  If you liked the Instinct, then the Instinct S30 will be worth having a look at.
