Samsung has great plans for their upcoming range of handsets. Samsung likes to experiment various stuff when designing their phones. We’ve seen lots of models, some better looking than the others, and according to some of Samsung’s new cellphone patents, we are going to see more cell phone versions.

The “Mobile phone” (above) it’s similar at first view with the Omnia or the F490. But this one is a sliding phone with a complicated keyboard hiding beneath the screen. Turning all those pieces in various positions will get you a different handset every time. I would assume there are various functions available as well since every new position transforms the mobile phone into a different machine.

The dual display, dual touchscreen phone is a clamshell which has two screens. There’s no actual keypad although on of the screens can be turned into that. LG has a similar idea in the works and we’re sure to see more gadgets like that. As we speak, a dual display dual touchscreen laptop is being created out there.

A different clamshell from Samsung is also patented. Remember the Optimus Maximus or Pultius? How would you like an OLED keypad? Every time your screen would change, so would your keys to give you better control on what you are doing.
The last patent talks about a handset with a flexible display. That would transform your phone intro a netbook or a multimedia device with a bigger screen. I wonder how a flexible display would actually work out. Do we have the technology to accomplish that successfully already?

When these interesting handsets will materialize it will be our pleasure to keep you updated.
