Samsung Gleam Turns Purple
It seems it's not only the BlackBerry Pearl that Verizon Wireless is dyeing another color but also the Samsung Gleam. Starting tomorrow, January 25, 2008, the tiny clamshell phone will be available in purple. The purple Gleam boasts a new living wallpaper which allows you to view the phone status by a city or country backdrop view which changes along with the time. The Gleam also features Bluetooth connectivity, microSD memory slot of up to 4GB, 240x320 pixel main TFT display and 96x96 pixel sub TFT display, popular messaging capabilities, and personal organizer with calendar. The Gleam measures 3.88" x 1.91" x .55" and weighs 3.35 ounces. The phone's language could also be switched from English to Spanish and vice versa. The purple Gleam will sell for US$99.99 after the $50 rebate that comes with a 2-year subscription has been deducted. You can get yourself this pretty purple phone via Verizon Wireless Communications Stores or via Verizon Wireless's official web site.
