Samsung E250 Phone
Here is some good news for Samsung on its home front. Samsung's SGH-E250, a slider phone popular in Asia, is on the verge of reaching the 20-mil mark in Korea. This relatively inexpensive model comes with a 3-megapixel camera, a TFT 65K-color display, Bluetooth, and MP3 player capabilities and was launched in November 2006 selling for about $150 around Asia and the Latin America.
Although this is a big milestone for Samsung, it is nowhere near the Nokia 1100, which sold a record 200 million or even the Motorola RAZR, which sold about 40 million units. In case you are wondering what the heck a Nokia 1100 is, it's a sturdy little fellow released in 2003 offering basic mobile functionalities of messaging and calling priced under $50.
