29 Sep 08 Samsung Delve Leaks to the Public

Samsung seems to have been really busy lately. We’ve seen various handsets being released or rumored and it’s now time for the Delve to leak to the public. The Samsung Delve seems to be a bit of a mix between Samsung Instinct and the Samsung F480. While we don’t have all the official specifications, we can tell you a thing or two about the Delve.

The Delve will feauture:

  • 3.0 touchscreen display
  • Second generation TouchWiz interface
  • 2 megapixel camera
  • Pre-loaded Toneroom, Facebook, Myspace, and various games
  • Threaded email and SMS
  • HTML browser
  • Navigation software
  • Bluetooth A2DP connectivity.

The Delve will probably arrive by the end of November. We should get official specs and features by then.

few cons well one that i can think off i dont like that the power button is on top makes a difficult one handed i think other then its awesome

While the Samsung Instinct boasts touch-sensitive controls under the touchscreen display, the Samsung Delve appears to have three physical buttons instead. The rest of the specs are pretty much on par, offering you a 3.0-inch touchscreen, virtual QWERTY keyboard, 2 megapixel camera, HTML browser, and stereo Bluetooth. The Delve also gets equipped with US Cellular’s navigation software and Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface. The threaded email and SMS are pretty nice too.

Read more on its fans website at http://www.Samsung-Delve.com I think the phone is pretty cool.

Ok yeahh this phone looks awsome! I have alltel but i am upgrading my phone. It sucks because this is the only phone I like, but the downer is that you have to pay like $50 extra each month because you have to have internet and this is a “smart phone”. With a regular phone you only have to pay $9 per month for internet. So now i am totalllyy stuck on what to do!! I really want a touch phone and the only one that isn’t a “smart phone”, in alltel, is the LG Glimmer and I don’t want that one!

I have one and i love it. there is a place for the stylus , its in the leather case on the side. there is a little pocket to slide it in.

The “STYLIS” doesn’t store in or on the Delve phone it goes or stores in a sleeve built into the inner partof the leather case provided.

I think the phone is awesome and the only drawbacks I have with it is it’s inability to open certain attachments in email and there isn’t a way to open but one browser window.

The phones signal strength isn’t as good as the Razor I had, but I guess you give up one thing to get another.

I still would rate this phone an 8 on a scale from 1-10.

I’ve been reading a lot about this phone and how it does not have WI_FI. Can anyone tell me what that means to me exactly? Does that mean you really can’t access the internet????

I know this is probably a stupid question but help me out here. ……… I don’t know much about this stuff

went into cell store to buy this phone. 1st one they sold me kept freezing while in the store…so they replaced it. Got it home, it’s doing the same thing. I’m very leary to go get another one. I think I’m going to return it. What a waste of my time.

I am on my third delve. I love the features, but connectivity is horrible. I constantly drop calls, can’t place calls in areas I should be able and I can hear callers but they can’t hear me. This has been one of the worse cellphone experiences ever. I will never buy another Samsung. I have alltel services and I just want to scream. Please do not buy this phone.

I’ve owned my Delve for about six months. I love it and hate it. I adore the touch screen, it’s really easy to use, I’ve had no connectivity problems at all and it takes great pictures. The video recorder could be a little bit higher quality but it works well enough.

I positively hate the internet browsing though and that’s the main reason I bought it. It’s painfully slow, so much so that I only use it for emergencies. I also purchased it so I could check my Hotmail e-mail account while I was out, and while I can log in and view how many e-mails I have, I can’t actually open them. And sometimes by visiting Hotmail the whole phone will freeze up and I’ll have to restart it.

But the battery life lasts for a good week before I have to charge it. Overall I’m happy with it but I’m looking forward to my contract being up so I can try out an iPhone or Blackberry.

Great Phone! I’ve had no problems with it. I would probably give it 9 or 9.5 out of 10. It’s just a great phone with all kinds of features. If your thinking about a touchscreen, then I would recommend this one from Alltel. And if you purchase it, get the OEM Body Glove snap-on case…works very well with the phone, fits perfectly, and keeps it protected in case you drop it on accident. I’ve compared several phones before getting this one…like the LG Dare – its heavy and it freezes too much, BlackBerry Storm- still has alot of kinks because its the only touchscreen Blackberry has made and its bulky. This phone is just the right size and has plenty of features.

HORRIBLE, CAN GET CALLS HERE THERE OR ANYWHERE. NO PLACE FOR STYLUS, FREEZES UP ALL THE TIME. CAN’T ACCESS INTERNET IF YOU ARE ON ROAM, EVEN IN MY HOUSE I GOT THE BLINKING “R” ROAM, AND IT SAYS CAN’T ACCESS INTERNET. CAN’T USE MUSIC AS RINGTONES. IT IS AWFUL. BATTERY LASTS FOR LIKE 2 HOURS OF TALKING OR 60 TEXTS. ON 3RD BATTERY AND SECOND PHONE. I HAVE ALLTEL SO YA THE SMARTPHONE IS NOT SO SMART. IT IS DUMB AND SO IS PAYING EXTRA FOR THE SMARTPACK WHEN I CAN’T USE IT ANYWHERE. DON’T BUY THIS PHONE. BLACKBERRY ALL THE WAY FOLKS!!!

i really like the phone, besides the fact that number one, when im in a call NO matter where i am, and NO matter who it is, they cannot hear me unless i yell. and number two, i just get sick of touch screen, but thats just my opinion. can anyone help me with the hearing thing? i need help, please? thanks!
