Samsung Caliber Cell Phone Review–A Real SurpriseBy Steve Anderson - 01/21/2010 1:50:36 AM |
Seriously, folks, I never imagined I’d be surprised by a cell phone, like ever. But here I am, quite astonished by what I have to talk about, today, the Samsung Caliber.
The Samsung Caliber is a candy bar style phone with conference call capability, voice recorder, caller ID, Bluetooth connectivity, a microSD card slot, USB slot, a phone book with capacity for a whopping two thousand names and numbers (something I’d never heard of before this one), an Internet browser, a three megapixel digital camera, alarm clock, calendar, calculator, and a battery with a maximum talk time of five full hours.
Catch those specs? Five hour talk time. Two thousand records. Three megapixel camera. All sorts of stuff I don’t usually see put in the same place. That’s like finding gold at the end of a rainbow that’s been hit by a meteor AND lightning. But the key thing is here that this is a solid model, with a surprising set of options. The Samsung Caliber may be a little low end, but it’s got plenty of surprises in store.
The Good
Long battery life
Huge phone book
Great camera
The Bad
Not many other options
Score 7/10
