Samsung has recently priced their Beat R1 portable media player, and I’ll get to that in a minute.

The Beat R1 weighs at 50 grams, and is 8.9 mm thin. Even though it is that skinny, it still has a touchscreen, Bluetooth, and a battery life of 50 hours of audio playback and 4 hours of video. The video features DivX and the Samsung fantastic Digital Natural Sound Engine.

The R1 is available in both pink, black, and silver, with the 8GB model being $149.99 and the 16GB would be $179.99.
