22 Apr 10 Samsung A777 Cell Phone Review–Hardly A Jackpot

I’ve come to enjoy Samsung phones–it seems like the mobile tech for Samsung is usually top notch or with only small difficulties.  The Samsung A777, despite the implications of its name, however, is hardly a jackpot.

The Samsung A777 is a slider-style phone that offers voice dialing, call timer, voice recorder, speakerphone, Bluetooth connectivity, a phone book with capacity for a thousand name and number entries, mobile web, mobile email, text and instant messenger capability, MP3 player, 1.3 megapixel digital camera with 3x digital zoom, alarm clock, calendar, calculator, and a battery that will yield three hours of talk time on a single charge.

There are, as I said, small difficulties in the Samsung A777–the battery life is unconscionably short, and frankly, the monitor looks sadly low-resolution for a recent cell phone.  But there are plenty of good features here, and most of the basics seem accounted for except for things like an FM radio.  Though the MP3 player is close enough.  After trying so many truly mindblowing cell phones, I’m somewhat disappointed by the sheer basicness of the A777.

Thus, the Samsung A777 is a solid enough buy, if somewhat lacking compared to the other possibilities available on the market.
