RUMORS: AT & T Launches Trade-in Mobile Phone Program

Do you have an old phone just sitting there? Or perhaps you are looking for an upgrade that can cost less? Well if rumors are true that AT &T is launching a program where you can trade in your old phone then you better get that phone ready.

AT&T might be considering a Trade-In Program for mobile phones, paying anywhere from $50 – $200 bucks – at least that’s what the word is on the information superhighway. Apparently you can’t just trade-in any old phone, the phone must meet a set of guidelines:

    • The phone may not be older than 2-years old – free of dents and dings as well as in working order.
    • This one most of you will hate, the new phone you trade your old phone in for won’t have any subsidies attached. This means you can’t get a discount for signing a contract and for “trading a phone in”. You get to choose one or the other.

It sounds like a great deal. But then again, they are rumors for now. Given the opportunity, if this does come out, expect a lot of people taking it!
