The web is filled with this photo right here. As you can see for yourself it shows an XBox box with a $299 price tag. Is it for real or for fun? We’ve seen so many photoshoped images so far that nothing seems that surprising anymore.

Apparently this is a leaked photo of a future K-Mart ad scheduled to appear on July 6th. If all this is actually true we are in for a $50 price drop for a new XBox 360. Not that bad, although I’d pay the full price for an XBox 360. At least something good came out of Microsoft.

For the supposed $299 you will get the Premium system which includes a 20GB hard drive, a single wireless controller and a wired headset. Microsoft hasn’t confirmed any of this yet so we’re going to catalog all this as a rumor for now. If you want an XBox 360, wait another week, maybe you’ll get that $50 off.
