We’ve heard in June how an Android device isn’t going to be ready by the end of the year, with most carriers and cell phone manufacturers postponing an Android handset release to 2009. We’ve also heard a few days ago how T-Mobile is preparing to offer full 3G coverage in about 27 markets starting this fall. Now we have another rumor on our hands about Android and T-Mobile.
Apparently T-Mobile is going to roll out an Android device on October 1st, that being the day their new 3G network will go live across the USA. That means we should be witnessing the first 3G Android device this year. I mean we should assume that T-Mobile is going to launch a 3G Android phone, otherwise there’s no point in coordinating the two events.
What kind of a phone will it be? We know HTC is working on an Android device. Are they getting it ready for T-Mobile?
