Rumored: Google’s Android and Nokia’s Symbian to Merge

Word around the street is that Google’s Android and Nokia’s Symbian are going to merge. Merge into what may I ask? Why would Nokia, kings of the cell phones business so far, operating handsets on their own Symbian OS which is going open by the way, want to mingle with Google’s Android, an OS we have talked much about without actually getting nothing good in return. There are millions of Symbian devices working out there while there’s a maybe Android phone or device for later this year.

Although such a potential merger would surely bring a better OS and a whole new series of handsets, I’m going to be skeptical about it for now and say it will not happen soon.
