Rumored: AT&T to Launch Handset Trade-In ProgramBy Chris - 03/01/2009 9:15:16 PM |
We have an AT&T rumor for you today which you’ll probably like, particularly if you own one of those recently cancelledQuickfire handsets. AT&T is considering a Phone Trade-In program which should be available in June. With such a program you will be able to trade in your unwanted handset and AT&T might be able to resell it to someone who actually wants it. That’s just speculation for now as we don’t have any official terms and conditions yet. But here’s what you should expect:
- The phone being traded in in can’t be more than two years old and must be in fair shape
- The new phone will not have any subsidies applied to it, so basically whatever your trade-in covers will be your “savings”
- Trade-ins will be valued from $50 to $200
So how would you take advantage of such a program?
