Makes you forget the Touch Pro2 for a moment, doesn’t it?  It also makes sense for HTC to use the same ploy as in its Touch series of Windows smartphones and give new life to a successful Android device that’s starting to creak in its ageing joints.  The above image is a revision of the G1 that surfaced on BGR, and we have our fingers crossed that this isn’t just a mockup as the idea of a QWERTY-enhanced, Android-powered smartphone has us drooling already.  If true, we could expect the G1v2 to land as early as October for $148 on a two-year T-Mobile contract.  We’ll let you know when we know more, so keeping coming back.
