RIM Will Not Make Notebooks

While Google is definitely interested in turning Android into an OS ready to compete against Windows or Mac, RIM doesn’t want to make any notebooks soon. Jim Balsillie, RIM’s CEO says that the company will be totally dedicated to the cell phone business. Even Nokia is considering expanding to laptops and netbooks while Acer and Dell are more and more interested in the cell phone business. Does the mobile business include now laptops and netbooks too? Should one have them all? Better throw in an App Store and you’ve got everything prepared for imminent success.
