Ricoh has announced its new digital camera named Caplio R7, which is supposed to be launched during the upcoming month of September.

There is no information about its price, but the following details are already known:

- SIE III technology for better visual quality
- 8-megapixels
- 7x zoom
- support for SD and SDHC memory cards
- only 24MB of built-in memory
- display measuring 2.7-inches
- ISO 64 to 1600
- records videos on Mjpeg format, with a 640×480 resolution at 30 frames per second

- weighs 135 grams
- measures 99.6×23.2x55mm
