After getting used to every other person letting his curiosity get the better of his self by asking what kind of device this was (opinions ranging from its a toy to a new handy cam), we finally got serious about testing the DV1. The DV1 has been designed by xCute, a company from Taiwan which is comparatively new in this field. Being new isn’t always a bad thing, the company doesn’t have a history of products from which they can draw "inspiration" from and consequently the DV1 is something completely fresh in the market. Though it can be classified as a clamshell, the bright colors, the ability of the upper halve to rotate and fold, as well as the unique positioning of the camera are all good ideas. Not everything is perfect though. In their quest to be the first GSM handset manufacturer with a three Mega pixel camera (more on that later) , the DV 1 lacks something as basic as Bluetooth. It has some other flaws as well which we shall discuss in detail.'
