X2 LogoNot to be left out, X2 announced its brand new portable media player, the X2 X2V - the smallest, lightest, and the most versatile portable media player (PMP) on the market today. It's the benchmark against which the other contenders and pretenders will be measured. This versatile 8-in-1 device can function as a video player, photo viewer, MP3/WMA music player, portable storage device, PDA, voice recorder, a digital camera (offering all of 6 megapixels, flash, and 4X digital zoom), and as a camcorder (640 X 480 MPEG-4). Sheesh! The only thing missing is the ubiquitous iPod connectivity. On the other hand, it can be plugged into a TV or projector.

The X2 X2V comes with a high-resolution 3.6" LCD screen that should be a delight for your eyes. The X2V sports a 30GB hard-drive inside. That's good enough to store any of the following: 120 hours of video, 15,000 songs, 150,000 digital photos, 1,000 hours of digital voice recording, 30gigs of bytes from your PC. To top it, there is also a 3-in-1 SD/MMC/Memory Stick memory card slot.

What more could you ask for?

By the way, did I forget to mention that it weighs half a pound?

The X2 X2V will shortly be available at leading retailers and e-commerce sites, and also directly at its website http://www.x2usa.com/. Expect the product to be priced in the $400 range.
