X2 Vest
The X2 Vest is a unique weight loss tool that bears a strong resemblance to a lifejacket. I have no idea how it feels to have it on, but it promises an end to the “No Pain, No Gain†exercise axiom. Hopefully, it has a very light-heavy feeling. Apparently, it is designed to be worn around the home, and if you like the bullet-proof vest, Tomb-raiderish look, you should wear it outdoors or in the gym. In fact, you could probably wear it swimming, mountain-climbing, or any other sporting activity.
Not only does it promise a comfortable exercise experience, but it can supposedly increase metabolic rate and burn up to 70% more calories in the same amount of time. The way it works is it adds weight to the mid-section of the body in one-pound increments. The additional body weight requires toughening of the muscle fibers, which require more calories to be burned, resulting in weight loss as well as muscle development. This is how the X2 vest promises that you can “lose weight, build lean muscle, and improve bone density†at the same time.
The X2 Vest has been given a lot of press since its appearance on The Today Show with Katie Couric. On that program, celebrity trainer Kathy Kaehler, who has trained such big names as Julia Roberts, Cindy Crawford, Rob Lowe, and Claudia Schiffer, endorsed the X2 Vest wholeheartedly. Gunnar Peterson, a trainer of many famous athletes, has similar praises.
Not only can it do all that, but it helps women get pregnant, at least the overweight women. The X2 Vest allowed the women to lose weight, which increased the chances of getting pregnant.
The X2 vest is a spin-off of an award-winning weighted vest the XVest, which has been used by astronauts as well as athletes of the NFL, MLB, and NBA. The X2 Vest is available on the X2 website for about $130.00.
